Cray Wanderers 2 Folkestone Invicta 2

TEN man Folkestone Invicta forced a replay after coming from two goals down to draw at Cray Wanderers in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday.

With 15 minutes to go, Invicta trailed 2-0 against their Ryman Division One opponents and were a man short after captain Scott Lindsey was sent off in the 65th minute for two bookable offences.

But Mark Munday pulled a goal back after 75 minutes and Andrew Burke then saved the day five minutes later to turn the tie around.

Invicta looked the more likely winners for the final ten minutes until Cray had three chances to win the tie during six minutes of stoppage time.

The game had sprung to life during the second half as Invicta striker James Dryden headed against the post two minutes after the break. But Cray opened the scoring a minute later when Woolf volleyed in a Sam Wood free kick.

Lindsey had been booked after 14 minutes for raising his foot at Lee Bremner and was dismissed for a heavy challenge after 64 minutes which ended James Taylor's involvement in the game.

Things got worse for Invicta shortly afterwards when a mix up between Kessell and Michael Everitt saw a free kick find Bremner who lobbed Kessell from 40 yards to make it 2-0.

But Invicta were thrown a lifeline three minutes later when debutant Luke Gedling's shot was saved by home goalkeeper Steve Northwood, only for Munday to tap the ball in at the far post.

And the comeback was complete when the impressive Dryden set up Burke to open his account for the club with a cool finish.
