Folkestone Invicta can seal their place in the Ryman League Division 1 South play-offs tonight.
They go into the game third, on 79 points, with their visitors Hastings United two places and six points below them. A win for Neil Cugley's side, who beat Corinthian Casuals 2-1 on Saturday, would guarantee their involvement in the end-of-season shootout.
Cugley said: "It’s in our own hands now. If we win, we’re in the play-offs, and if we win two of our remaining four games, we’ll be certain of third place.
"The players know what the position is. And while I’d always like a bit more quality in the side, they are a determined bunch, this lot, and they know what they’ve got to do."
If Folkestone do finish third, they'll be at home in the play-off semi-final, avoiding a potential trip to Guernsey - who they're away to on the final weekend of the regular season anyway.
Hastings beat Invicta 3-0 when the sides met in East Sussex in October.
Cugley said: "We didn’t play well that night, but I’m confident that we’ll play much better against them tonight. We do have a few problems, but we’ve shown in recent weeks that we can play well despite a few being missing.
"We’ll be OK. Ratty (James Everitt) is playing well now and I was particularly pleased with Stevo (Phil Stevenson), who was asked to play out of position on Saturday.
"It was also good that we were able to rest Johan (ter Horst) and he got that all-important second goal and looked lively when he came on."
Nat Blanks is out for the season with a broken metatarsal and Chris Elliott has been sidelined with tonsillitis, while Josh Vincent has an ankle injury.
But Cugley could have Roland Edge and Simon Austin available after illness and he's recalled young striker Connor Coyne from Southern Counties East side Deal Town.
Kick-off at the Fullicks Stadium is at 7.45pm.
