Tuesday afternoon's meeting at Folkestone has been abandoned due to waterlogging.

Neil MacKenzie Ross, clerk of the course, was planning to carry out an 8am inspection but an early look around showed the track was unraceable.

"We had 20 millimetres of rain overnight and it is still raining now," he said.

"When I walked round the track I found two great lakes of water so unfortunately we have had to abandon."
