FOLKESTONE Invicta will play their last home match of the season against relegation-threatened Halesowen Town on Saturday. After the game the Player of the Year awards will be presented in Stripes Club.
On Tuesday, April 29, Invicta travel to meet Havant & Waterlooville.
On Easter Saturday, an injury time penalty from Martin Chandler enabled already relegated Folkestone to complete a Dr Martens League Premier Division double over Hastings United at Cheriton Road and at the same time send the Sussex club a step nearer to joining Invicta in the Eastern Division
next season.
The outcome was decided when Chandler sent his spot kick low to goalkeeper David King's right at the start of over eight minutes of stoppage time.
The penalty had been awarded after Invicta substitute Lee Blackman had been nudged by defender Stuart Playford from a Chandler ball in a move started by Scott Lindsey.
Invicta have now won five of their last seven home matches after waiting until February for their first Premier Division triumph at Cheriton Road when Chandler had again struck in injury time, this time against Chelmsford City.
Neil Cugley's side also recorded only their second league clean sheet of the season in a somewhat disappointing game which was made difficult by the windy conditions.
