Folkestone remain unbeaten in Bostik Premier but manager Neil Cugley expects this weekend’s double-header to test that record.
Invicta have five points from three games ahead of Needham Market’s visit to the Fullicks Stadium on Saturday.
Two days later, Folkestone travel to face a Tonbridge side who are also yet to lose in the league this season.
Cugley said: "Two games in three days is always going to be hard but we look forward to it.
"It’s a good weekend to see where we are as a club and what we can achieve, against two sides that will always test you.
"Needham are organised, a well-run club but we want to make it difficult for them.
"We have got to travel a long way to different places and when we’re here, (other clubs) sometimes feel it’s quite a long trek down to us.
"We’ve got to take advantage of that and over the years, our home record’s been good. If we can carry that on this year, there’s no reason we can’t have an enjoyable season."
Cugley hopes to have Joe Taylor and Micheal Everitt back in the squad after injuries, Taylor having not featured yet this season.
Folkestone travel to Tonbridge having beaten them 1-0 at the end of last season.
"Financially, they’ve got more to offer players and a bigger catchment area," said Cugley, whose side won when it mattered most to keep them on course for survival.
"If we lost that one, we would have been relegated. Luckily, we won and it meant it went to the last game and we won that one.
"It was an absolutely massive win, maybe the biggest one we’ve had because there would have been a lot of changes if we had gone down.
"They were a bit hurt by it because it killed their play-off hopes. I think Steve McKimm will bring it up with his players. I’m sure they’ll mention it.
"I get on well with the people at Tonbridge and Steve’s a good manager, so I look forward to that game."
All in all it’s been a good start for Cugley’s new-look Invicta, who have been given Thursday off training to recover from niggling injuries.
He said: "We’ve done well with the new lads. We’ve got more energy in the side now.
"I get on well with (Burgess Hill boss) Ian Chapman and he thought we were better than last year so that’s a nice feeling. The wage bill’s less than last year so it shows we’ve used everything wisely.
"There were a lot of phone calls, trying to get players in. For most of them, it was either where we are or financially we couldn’t get them in or a mixture of both.
"It’s worked out not too bad with what I’ve got in."
