Folkestone Invicta 1 Welling United 1
WELLING were fortunate to get a second bite of the cherry after escapaing from Cheriton Road with a draw in the FA Cup second round qualifying on Saturday.
The Wings could have been behind early on as Steve Norman and Paul Jones both went close before the visitors took the lead against the run of play after 31 minutes.
Striker Danny Kedwell won a free-kick which was taken by Jamie Day and headed in by skipper Chris Moore.
Folkestone were deservedly back on level terms five minutes before half-time when sloppy Welling defending allowed Ellis Remy room at the far post to fire home.
Both sides had chances to win the tie in a even second half.
Adam Flanaghan saw his header cleared off the line, Remy's shot over from 30 yards while at the other end Kedwell twice went close, including an injury-time volley which went just over the crossbar.
The sides will replay at Park View Road at 7.45pm on Tuesday.
