Folkestone Invicta 1 Harrow Borough 0
ANOTHER James Dryden goal was enough to give Folkestone Invicta all three points against Harrow Borough at Cheriton Road on Saturday.
Invicta’s record goalscorer struck after only four minutes when he was on hand to finish off a good move involving Simon Glover on the right.
Folkestone almost doubled their lead in the 38th minute when Adam Flanaghan flicked Paul Lamb’s corner onto Dryden, but this time his header clipped the top of the crossbar.
Relegation-threatened Harrow had to try and salvage something from this game and were much improved in the second half.
Tony Kessell produced a decent save to deny Eliot Onochie after 51 minutes and then Onochie set up substitute Howard Newton but he somehow scooped the ball over with the goal gaping.
Harrow left gaps at the back as they pushed for an equaliser and Glover and substitute Joe Nielsen had good chances to make the game safe.
Invicta have claimed nine points from their last three matches and look to be heading towards safety in the Ryman Premier Division.
