Folkestone Invicta 2 Bath City 4
FOLKESTONE Invicta's terrible run continued when they went down 4-2 at home to Bath City despite the visitors being reduced to ten men with the scores level at 2-2 after 65 minutes.
Invicta have still not won a home league game all season and have now gone 21 Premier Division matches without a win. Ilkeston Town's 3-1 home win over Hednesford on Saturday leaves Invicta bottom of table for the first time this season.
Invicta had opened the scoring after 19 minutes when top goalscorer Allan Tait poked the ball in when James Millar drove in a low free kick from the right. But Bath had shaded the first half on a heavy pitch and the visitors equalised after 44 minutes when striker Frankie Bennett struck at the far post as Andy Williams' left wing cross was touched on to him.
Millar restored Invicta's lead when he drilled the ball home after 50 minutes when James Dryden played the ball in from the left hand side. It was Bennett who brought Bath level again after 54 minutes when he smashed the ball in off the underside of the crossbar when a long ball was played out of defence.
The pendulum seemed to have swung back in Invicta's favour when Bath captain Gary Kemp was dismissed for sending Millar flying on the edge of the penalty area to pick up a second yellow card. He had earlier been booked for a foul on Tait after 16 minutes.
But it was 10-man Bath who went on to take control of the latter stages and take all three points.
Williams put Bath ahead for the first time in the game after 73 minutes when he took the ball on from the left and sent a low shot into the corner of the net. And to pile on Invicta's agony, Drew shore let fly from 25 yards to make it 4-2 after 79 minutes.
