Isthmian League round-up as nine-man Folkestone Invicta suffer 1-0 home Isthmian Premier loss against Cray Valley PM; Dartford, Chatham Town and Dover Athletic win in same division

Nine-man Folkestone were consigned to a controversial Isthmian Premier home defeat by Cray Valley PM on Saturday.

Amadou Kassarate had a debut to forget at Cheriton Road as he picked up two bookings in quick succession in the first half before fellow midfielder Dean Rance also got his marching orders in the 50th minute when he was handed a second caution.

And Steve McKimm’s newly-promoted side, who sit second, finally made their numerical advantage count with 16 minutes to play. Substitute Adam Coombes found the net in their 1-0 victory.

Chatham were 3-1 home winners against Dulwich Hamlet.

Forward Jamie Yila put them in front shortly after the half-hour mark and, although former Dartford and Dover winger Luke Wanadio levelled, another Chats striker - one-time Premier League man Freddie Sears - made it 2-1 in the 51st minute.

Substitute Sam Sene Richardson then rounded it off in front of a 1,458-strong crowd at the Bauvill Stadium.

Dartford edged out Carshalton 1-0 as striker Eddie Dsane got the game’s only goal in the 18th minute.

Hat-trick hero Ruben Soares-Junior led the way in Dover’s 5-2 win against newly-promoted Chichester.

Striker George Nikaj also bagged a brace in front of a crowd of 825 at Crabble to make it seven goals in four league matches this term for him.

Cray Wanderers went down 3-1 at home to Lewes despite substitute Anthony Cook’s second-half goal for the Wands.

Midfielder Marcus Sablier, who had got the visitors third as they raced into a three-goal lead by half-time, was sent off for a second bookable offence in the 74th minute.

Ramsgate won their Isthmian South East Kent derby 4-2 against Sittingbourne.

A frantic start saw Benny Bioletti put Ben Smith’s side ahead in the second minute, only for Ryan Maxwell’s men to be 2-1 ahead by 15 minutes after goals from winger Troy Howard and forward Mitchell May.

Back came the Rams, though, Tom Carlse and the prolific Joe Taylor both netted inside four second-half minutes.

Midfielder TJ Jadama then put the result beyond doubt 16 minutes from time when he scored in front of the 671-strong Southwood crowd.

Deal saw off hosts Broadbridge Heath, beating them 3-1.

Marcel Nimani’s Sheppey return was one to forget on the pitch for his Sevenoaks side, beaten 3-1 by The Ites.

Goals by playmaker Jacob Lambert and defender Mamadou Diallo had Ernie Batten’s team in command before Oaks defender Jahmal Howlett-Mundle - also formerly of Sheppey - was sent off and home defender Hanson Itauma added a third in the 88th minute.

Ex-Sheppey striker Warren Mfula got an injury-time goal for the Oaks but it proved a mere consolation.

Nick Davis’ first fixture as Hythe boss resulted in a 4-0 defeat at early frontrunners Beckenham, Jamarie Brissett the hat-trick hero for them.
