JACK HAMILTON maintained his love affair with the Channel Cup in Sene Valley’s Open Week.

He took the blue riband event of the week for the sixth time with a superb net 142 total for the 36 holes.

Jack, who is also the Sene Valley champion and plays off a four handicap, fired rounds of 69 and 73 to win by six shots.

Runner-up was six handicapper Dave Price with 148 from Essex visitor John Moore also with 148.

Best scratch score was 152 from Russell Thwaites with rising star Charlie Wilson scoring 156.

Best morning score was 71 from Canterbury’s Steve White and 71 was good enough for the best afternoon score from Steve Davey.

Moore hit a hole in one during the week, as did Sene’s Murray Alexander in the Nordic Print Cup on Friday, his first ace.

Honours there went to Richard Chappell after a three-way countback on 41 points from Canterbury’s Alan Willett and Derek Hitchman from Littlestone. Best visitor in the 0-15 handicap class was Steve Hill from Charts Hills.

In the 16-28 handicap class winner was David Andrewartha in another three-way countback on 41 points from Steve Cooper and Brian McLaughlin.
