Folkestone Invicta have released experienced goalkeeper Charlie Mitten.
Mitten was an ever-present for Invicta in the first half of the season but, with the financial restraints at Cheriton Road eating hard into his budget, manager Neil Cugley has decided to let Mitten go now that he has Jack Delo on loan from Ramsgate.
Cugley said: "He has been excellent and has such a calming influence and he has been great to have around the club.
"It's a disappointment in losing Charlie but at the end of the day I didn't want to miss out on Jack, who I see as a longer term prospect."
Cugley also looks set to lose another of his most experienced players after striker Jimmy Dryden put in a transfer request.
Cugley said: "I have always got on well with Jim and there's no problem between us, but if people don't want to be at the club then that's fair enough but we have to move on."
Folkestone's twice-postponed league game with Whyteleafe has been rearranged for the Buzzlines Stadium on Tuesday, January 27.
