Folkestone have boosted their frontline with their latest summer signing.
Ibrahim Olutade follows goalkeeper Bailey Vose, defenders Nathan Green and Ian Gayle, and midfielders James Rogers and Kadell Daniel in heading to Cheriton Road.
With last season’s top scorer Dave Smith looking likely to pursue a full-time career, long-serving manager Neil Cugley was keen to bring another striker in and he has recruited 23-year-old Olutade who last season played for both Maidstone and Tonbridge in National League South, beating off competition from higher-league clubs.
“I will be surprised if Dave Smith is with us next year. He wants to play full-time football so he gives us another option up front,” said Cugley who has tied fellow hitman Ade Yusuff down to a two-year contract with the Isthmian Premier club this summer.
“I still want another striker and another versatile player with Jordan Wright breaking his leg. Although he didn’t play a lot of games, he slotted in a lot of positions for us.
“But he (Olutade) is an exciting lad and I’m looking forward to working with him.
“Gayle is an experienced lad and Green looked unbelievable as well.”
Olutade scored six goals season for Tonbridge, including the winner of the bench in their FA Trophy 2-1 victory over Torquay just before Christmas.
Meanwhile winger Luke Wanadio, who ended last campaign with Invicta, has agreed to join Alfie Paxman at Dover.
Invicta reported for pre-season training at the weekend and they will start their pre-season campaign at home to Gillingham this Saturday.
