AFC Wimbledon v Folkestone Invicta

FOLKESTONE Invicta begin their Ryman Premier League season with a difficult trip to high-profile AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

A huge crowd will welcome them at the home of last season's runaway winners of Ryman League Division 1, but that is a prospect that excites manager Neil Cugley.

He said: "We are all looking forward to the game. There is sure to be a huge crowd there and we are hopeful that we can go up there and surprise them.

The venue for the match - Kingsmeadow in Kingston - holds happy memories for Folkestone, who beat Kingstonian 5-1 there on the final day of last season.

Centre half John Guest is Invicta’s main doubt as he has been out of action since injuring a knee in the pre-season friendly at Chatham.
