There was a different look to the Wilmoths Citroen Trophy at Cheriton Bowls Club on Sunday.
Normally teams from around south east Kent would compete in the competition but this year, due to Covid restrictions, it was played as an in-house competition with 10 teams of pairs.
Each team played three games of eight ends and there were some very tight games with many ending in draws.
The winners with three straight wins were John Gleeson and Ann Russell with Peter Bamford and Daniel Baigent runner-ups.
Cheriton Bowls Club president Hugh Coleman said: “I would like to say thank you to all those who took part and to Sharon Todd and her team for organising such a successful day.
“I would also like to thank the competition sponsors Wilmoths Citroen of Folkestone for their continual sponsorship of this competition and the club during these difficult times.”
Meanwhile, Gordon Charlton took the limelight when Sandwich Bowls Club held their club finals on Sunday.
Charlton won three trophies – claiming the pairs, the handicap and championship titles.
