Conquering her fear of beans, fundraiser Ellie Whittaker jumped into a bath of them to raise money for a sick little girl.
Ellie, 28, a former St John’s school pupil, raised more than £470 for the Stacey Mowle appeal.
The Gravesend seven-year-old suffers from a rare cancer and needs £500,000 to fund specialist treatment.
Mum-of-one Ellie, who braved a bath in about 380 cans of beans at Asda Gravesend, said: “Until this I couldn’t even wash up a saucepan with beans in.
"I don’t like the taste, feel, smell or look of them.
“I am over the moon with the total and hope this will hit £500 with a few outstanding donations.”
Asda’s community champion, Jacquii Alexander-Smith, said: “Her biggest fear was having the beans near her face, but she was convinced to allow me to pour a bucketful over her head in order to help raise awareness for the charity.
"Everyone was very proud of her.”
The New Ash Green resident is now planning a sky dive for Stacey on June 27.
