A serious crash has blocked both directions on the A20 London Road at Wrotham.

A car and a cyclist were involved in the collision, which happened at 3.30pm near junction 2 of the M20 for Wrotham and Brands Hatch.

There are no details yet of any injuries.

The road is closed between the junctions for A227 Gravesend Road and Old Coach Road.

Emergency vehicles are at the scene.

Police say they would like anyone who saw the crash or who stopped at the scene to help and who has not yet spoken to officers to call the appeal line on 01622 798538, quoting reference number AH/COG/031/22.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area if possible.
