Glasses will be raised in Gravesend next week as the town celebrates its first beer festival in eight years.

The Gravesend Beer Festival takes place at the Old Town Hall from Thursday, January 29 to Saturday, January 31.

The beer festival was last staged at The Woodville in 2007.

The event is being organised by the Old Town Hall and The Windmill Tavern with more than 30 cask beers and ciders on offer.

Also expected is a whiskey bar, gourmet hot and cold food and live entertainment.

Advance tickets are £5 per day or £10 for three days. Entry on the door will cost £7.50 per day.
