Burglars escaped with cigarettes and scratch cards after breaking into the Co-op store.

Police were called at 11.20pm last night after the burglary in Istead Rise, near Gravesend, and officers remain on the scene today conducting enquiries.

Last year the store was targeted by ram-raiders who drove a black Land Rover Discovery into the front of the shop before stealing a cash machine.
