Luke Moore scored two goals against his former club to increase Ebbsfleet’s problems at the bottom of Blue Square Premier on Tuesday night.
It was a familiar story for Liam Daish’s side of early parity, possession and effort without any cutting edge as they made it eight matches without a goal.
After an unimpressive opening by AFC Wimbledon, the home side gradually stepped up their threat as the first half progressed and it was Moore (pictured) who broke the deadlock on 42 minutes when he drove home Jay Conroy’s pass.
Ebbsfleet again started the second half brightly and Ricky Shakes fired over when well placed while Ross Smith tested goalkeeper Seb Brown but with an hour gone, Wimbledon struck again when Danny Kedwell volleyed home in superb style.
Then man-of-the-match Moore grabbed his second goal on 73 minutes after he was given far too much time and space on the edge of the box.
Substitute Jamie Forshaw showed glimpses of promise as he combined well with Shakes on more than one occasion but the home side rarely looked in discomfort as the Fleet slid to their sixth consecutive away league defeat.
