Ricky Shakes came off the bench to secure Ebbsfleet United a dramatic 3-1 win over basement-boys Bath City in Blue Square Bet South on Saturday afternoon.
After setting a world record by being sent-off just 10 seconds into a game on February 5, 2011, Fleet keeper Preston Edwards saw red again, this time for an off-the-ball incident in the centre-circle midway through the second half.
Nathaniel Pinney had put Fleet ahead after just eight minutes from close range but the hosts pulled level with a far-post header through Gethin Jones from their seventh corner of the game shortly after the hour.
Within five minutes Edwards had been dismissed after a rush-of-blood saw the stopper race from his area to become embroiled in an altercation.
Tom McNeil came off the bench to take over in goal however it was fellow sub Shakes, on for Tom Phipp, who struck the decisive goal 11 minutes from time with a fine finish into the corner after latching onto a through ball, just three minutes after being introduced by manager Liam Daish.
Shakes was also credited with the Fleet third in the final minute, though there was still time for Bath to set up a tense final few seconds of stoppage-time with a second goal through Sean Canham.
