Body found in search for missing Greenhithe man Martin Cobb

A body has been found in the hunt for a missing man.

Police have called off the search for Martin Cobb, 40, who is from Greenhithe, after the body was discovered on Sunday in the Thamesmead area.

Mr Cobb was reported missing on Monday, February 25, after his motorbike was found abandoned on Dartford Crossing.

An appeal for information was sent out by police last month when Martin Cobb went missing (7976622)

Kent Police were joined by officers from Essex to conduct a search.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "Formal identification has not yet taken place but the family of Martin Cobb have been notified.

"The circumstances are not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."
