Girls at Cobham Hall were taken aback by the visit of an Irish boyband.

Taken stopped by at the school to perform several songs and, more importantly, to teach a valuable lesson about cyberbullying and e-safety.

As well as being more than a little excited about the unexpected gig, the girls were grateful to Ste, Richie and Eoghan for the online education.

Year 8 pupil Philoan said: “It was really good.

“They talked about cyberbullying in a way that more people would listen and take notice.

“I’m a rock and metal music listener, so I was not looking forward to a boyband coming in to sing, but they really got people on their feet and enjoying the talk.”

Fellow Year 8 pupil Maisy agreed. She said: “I thought the performance was great because they were letting us know about something very serious and important in a fun way and a way that we will remember.”
