A young mother who had her dying wish to marry the man she loved come true has passed away.
Staff and volunteers at the Ellenor Lions hospice, in Northfleet, pulled out all the stops to make Paula O'Shea's dream come true after her condition suddenly deteriorated.
Paula and fiancé Dave Carroll, both 35, tied the knot at the hospice in Coldharbour Road in front of family, friends and their children.
The young mother-of-six, from Gravesend, was admitted to the hospice just two days earlier after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour.
A tribute released by her family said: "It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a much-loved mother, daughter, wife, sister and friend.
"Paula slipped away peacefully at the Ellenor Lions Hospice on Tuesday with her family by her side.
"Paula dealt with her illness with courage and remained positive as much as she could for her children.
"We are very grateful to EllenorLions Hospices for all they have done for our family. Not only have they cared for Paula, they have looked after each and every one of us.
"We have wonderful memories of the wedding they organised for us. We miss Paula, our wife and mum, so much already and we know EllenorLions Hospices will be there to support us through the difficult times ahead."
Paula's funeral will be held at Christ Church, Old Road East, Gravesend, on Tuesday August 6 at 2.30pm.
Instead of flowers, the family have requested donations to EllenorLions Hospices.
The couple had been engaged for more than two years, but they never made it down the aisle because of other commitments.

At the time of the wedding, Paula said: "There's always been something in the way of us getting married but thanks to EllenorLions we've made it.
"Today has really lifted everybody's spirits and we're so thankful to everyone for making our dream come true. It's lovely to see the kids so happy and everyone smiling."
