Hall Road bridge over the A2 near Pepperhill, in Northfleet, closed overnight for repairs for second time

Motorists are being warned to plan their journeys due to a second series of overnight bridge closures.
National Highways is continuing its repairs and maintenance work to the crossing which goes over the A2 at Pepper Hill, in Hall Road, Northfleet.
This includes replacing the expansion joints and waterproofing the bridge.
The road was closed overnight in July and August to ensure the work could be carried out safely and is due to be shut again this month between 8pm and 6am on several dates.
It will be shut for drivers heading southbound over the bridge from later today (September 16) for five nights.
It will then be closed for two nights from Monday, September 23, and for five nights from Monday, September 30.
There will also be a 48-hour full closure to southbound traffic from 7am on Saturday, September 28, to 6am on Monday, September 30,
The bridge will then be fully closed overnight from 8pm on Tuesday, October 1, until 6am Wednesday, October 2.
There will be diversions in place throughout the closures.
Traffic heading south over Hall Road Bridge will be diverted down the A2 coastbound carriageway to turn around at the next junction and exit at Pepper Hill junction.
Motorists heading in the other direction will be diverted up the A2 London-bound carriageway to turn around at the next junction and exit at Pepper Hill junction.
