A cyclist has been left with injuries after he was struck on the back before colliding with a horse and cart.
The bike rider, in his 50s, was travelling along Rochester Road, in Gravesend, towards Higham at around 6.20pm on Saturday, May 9, when he was struck on the back with an unknown object.
He then collided with a horse and cart, which had been behind him, and fell from his bike.
The victim sustained injuries to his upper body and was taken to hospital for treatment.
This incident follows another reported attack on a cyclist, where a 58-year-old was deliberately knocked from his bike near the Cyclopark in Gravesend.
Police are appealing for help following the incident in Rochester Road.
Officers would like the two men who were driving the horse and cart to get in contact as they may have important information which can help with their inquiries. The men did briefly stop at the scene, but left before officers arrived.
One of the men is white, with a stocky build and aged in his 50s.
He had short brown curly hair with the word Brodie tattooed across the top of his back.
The second man is also white and is believed to be in his late 30s to early 40s with light brown hair.
