A four vehicle crash on a busy motorway caused queues nearly 2 miles long.

Officers were called just after 2pm after the smash on the A2 coastbound near Pepper Hill.

Three lanes of the A2 coastbound at Pepper Hill were closed earlier due to a collision.

Traffic queued back to the A296, near Bluewater, but the accident has now been cleared by police.

No injuries were reported.
