Traffic chaos on A2 and nearby roads after van overturns at Cobham

Drivers have faced lengthy delays after a van overturned on the A2 near Cobham .
Traffic reports say there were queues for five miles following the accident on the eastbound carriageway at 4.30pm, and there was congestion back to the M25.

The A226 past McDonald's in Greenhithe is congested as well as Craylands Lane past the Leisure Centre in Swanscombe.
Routes through Gravesend are also slow due to diverted traffic.
Police confirmed they were called at 4.20pm to a collision on the A2 coastbound near Gravesend.
Officers attended along with ambulance and fire crews and there were no serious injuries.
The road was temporarily blocked, and police left the scene at 5.50pm.
All lanes have been re-opened but residual delays remain.
