Ebbsfleet chairman John Moules is refusing to put a deadline on manager Liam Daish, who has yet to decide on his future.

With just five players contracted for next season, Ebbsfleet’s future in Blue Square Premier remains uncertain.

Daish is out of contract and the playing budget is yet to be decided as finances remain unclear beyond the summer.

Mr Moules (pictured right) revealed he has put forward a proposal to Daish and is currently waiting for a response.

He said: "Liam and I have had a couple of meetings over the last two weeks. We have discussed his and the coaching staff’s future and the playing budget going forward.

"The playing budget is based on the current financial details that I have at this moment in time.

"The situation is that Liam is having a think about the offer which we have discussed. Everyone at the club would like him to stay."

The Fleet chairman admitted that the lack of concrete information has made it difficult to make decisions about next season.

Mr Moules added: "Liam has got to make some tough decisions about himself and the playing staff going forward.

"I haven’t set any deadlines and we are talking as much as possible.

"It is frustrating for everyone. At this time of year, other club directors and benefactors who subsidise a particular club, would have made decisions already. We have to rely on current (MyFootballClub) membership renewals and donations. That’s the area we’ve concentrated on."

Despite financial constraints, Mr Moules says the club will do everything it can to maintain their full-time status. The playing budget will be determined by the amount of cash coming in from various revenue streams.

"We are working as hard as we can to maintain a full-time coaching and playing staff," Mr Moules added.
