Two of Ebbsfleet's young guns have been called into the England C squad for their game against India's Under-23 squad next month.

Michael West is in the 16-man squad and Tom Phipp, who only made his Fleet first-team debut 12 months ago, makes the provisional squad for the game at Dagenham & Redbridge FC on Tuesday, September 6.

England boss Paul Fairclough said: "England v India is a massive game in world cricket so it will be a fantastic honour to play them at football for the very first time at any level.

“And Dagenham & Redbridge is obviously a very diverse area so I’m hoping that the local community will come out and support this historic game."
