Ebbsfleet boss Liam Daish has urged the club's fans not to turn on their players.

The Fleet struggled in the first half of Tuesday's 2-2 Blue Square Bet Premier draw with Woking, and Daish, pictured, believes the supporters need to keep encouraging his side.

"People had their say in the stands and we heard it," said Daish. "They were quick to get on the lads' backs at that stage. I understand their frustration but the lads need their support.

"Sometimes when there are 35,000 people you don't hear it, but there wasn't many here and it stands out.

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I am trying to get the lads to stick together and they need support and backing to turn it around."

It needed an inspired half-time team talk from the Fleet boss and a much-improved second-half showing to grab a point, that could have easily been three by the end.

"It was a good point for us," said Daish. "The lads worked hard and stuck together in difficult cirumstances as confident was a bit low.

"They were brave, had a real go at it and got what they deserved.

"There was a bit of naivety about us in midfield. We didn't need two midfielders to deal with their one but we sorted it out at half-time and then we looked to have more energy."
