Emergency services called and man in hospital after reported assault in Milton Road in Swanscombe

A stabbing in Swanscombe has left a man in hospital with multiple injuries this evening.

Police and ambulance staff were called to Milton Road earlier this afternoon to reports of an assault.

They found a man suffering from multiple injuries, including to his arms, believed to have been caused by a blade.

The wounded man was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital.

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A police spokesman said enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
