Fly-tipping in Gravesend sees fines issued by Gravesham council

The latest spate of fly-tipping incidents has led to fines being issued to people illegally dumping rubbish.
Enforcement teams spotted the four incidents around Gravesend and issued penalty notices to four culprits found to be responsible.
CCTV footage helped track down two people after household waste was found ditched in a car park in Alanbrooke, Gravesend.
The two separate incidents were caught on the cameras.
Another fine was issued to a resident in Cobham Street who dumped multiple items from a house clearance near the recycling bins in Ordnance Street.
The final incident of the week saw a business owner fined after items were located in Wellington Street.
The total amount of the fines was £400.
Residents are responsible for removing of their own waste properly and must use a household waste recycling centre – run by Kent County Council.

Gravesham council also provides a bulky waste collection service which can be booked by residents for a fee.
