Emergency crews called to a fire involving multiple vehicles in Canal Road, Gravesend

A blaze involving multiple vehicles is thought to have started accidentally in the early hours.

Four fire engines were called to a yard in Canal Road, Gravesend, at around 3am this morning (May 16).

Crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames just before 4am using hose reel jets, main jets, compressed air foam and water from hydrants.

At least six vehicles were affected.

No injuries were reported.

The cause is believed to be accidental.
