The first homes on a 182-home new build estate have been put on the market.
Bellway Kent has released the first properties for its Alkerden Heights development at Ebbsfleet Garden City.
The 11-acre site off Castle Hill Road Alkerden Village is part of the former Eastern Quarry.
It will include 136 homes for private sale and 46 affordable properties for local people through rent or shared ownership.
They will be one, two-bedroom, three-bedroom and four-bedroom houses.
The building company held a soft launch event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Dartford Bridge hotels at the end of last year, where residents registered their interest for the soon to be released properties.
Sales director Mark Harrop said: "The launch event gave us the chance to meet some of those who are interested in living at our new development in Ebbsfleet Garden City.
“We were able to showcase all that Alkerden Heights can offer in terms of the variety of properties for sale and the house styles buyers can choose from.
“We are particularly excited about our showhome. It’s set to open to the public next spring, so that will be another important landmark in the construction of this development.”
The first properties to be complete and ready for occupation in the summer of 2023.
The development is part of the Ebbsfleet Garden City project which aims to provide 15,000 new homes and create 30,000 jobs in a large area around Ebbsfleet International railway station.
A selection of two, three and four-bedroom homes now available to reserve at Alkerden Heights, with prices starting from £324,995.
