Four "illegal immigrants" have been arrested after the Home Office carried out warrants across two boroughs.

Immigration Enforcement Criminal and Financial Investigation (CFI) officers executed simultaneous searches at address in Dartford and Gravesend this morning.

One eye witness saw a van and officers in Trinity Road, Gravesend, at around 6.30am.

As a result, four people were arrested on suspicion of facilitating illegal inmigration into the UK and were taken to a Kent police station to be questioned.

Assistant director David Fairclough, from CFI, said: “This investigation relates to suspected illegal immigration into the UK through the use of falsified documents.
