Police officer assaulted by teenage girl after incident at shop in Greenhithe

A teenage girl is due to appear in court after two police officers were assaulted.

The 15-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested after police were called to a shop in Greenhithe.

The incident on July 21 saw her arrested and released on bail while inquiries were carried out.

She was charged with three offences yesterday - two counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of assault.

The girl, who is from Greenhithe, will appear at Youth Court on August 25.
