An overturned van blocked traffic following a crash in Milton Road, Gravesend, on Thursday night.

Motorists were stuck either side of the railway bridge near Prospect Grove after the incident at about 9.30pm.

Crews from Thames-side fire station said the van's driver had left the scene by the time they arrived, and that a witness had pulled him to safety. It is thought the van clipped a kerb before it flipped over. No other vehicles were involved.
