Broadwitch Hauntfest in Southfleet offers family-friendly Halloween fun

Terrified youngsters made their way through corn rows, cemeteries and a slaughter house when they took a trip around one of the county’s largest scare attractions.
Children and their families were invited to Broadwitch Hauntfest, at Manor Farm, in Southfleet.
Broadwitch has been running in New Barn Road since 2001 and opened its annual scare event earlier this month.
It has won awards for being one of the best experiences of its kind for thrill-seekers.
But during the day they have activities which are a little less scary for younger visitors to enjoy.
This year the family-friendly fun included pumpkin carving, a ghost hunt, corn cannon, pumpkin shy and a paintball shooting range.
Other attractions at the farm included the UV Boo Bungalow - described as a “fun and magical introduction” to Halloween for children.
Broadwitch’s night-time experiences for adults are known as haunts. Three haunts have been refreshed for 2019 and include a disturbing corn maze called MassAcre and The Edge where the undead roam.
Broadwitch’s first ever experience, Spooky Castle, was rebuilt in 2018 and has returned this year.
While visitors queue for each haunt, there are street entertainers. If you don’t want to go inside the hunts but want to enjoy the atmosphere, can buy a street pass.
Hauntfest ends tonight. To find out more information, including times and ticket prices, click here.
