A2 crash caused queues between Gravesend, Ebbsfleet and Bean Interchange near Bluewater

A crash caused delays on the A2 this afternoon.

Two lanes were closed due to the incident near Gravesend on the Londonbound carriageway which happened at about 2.50pm.

A2 crash is causing severe delays between Ebbsfleet and Bean, near Bluewater

Police and ambulance crews were sent to the scene.

The other two lanes remained open but the issue caused delays on the approach to the A2260 junction for Northfleet and Ebbsfleet.

The crash is reported to have happened on the stretch towards the Bean Interchange near Bluewater.

Traffic build up just after Cobham services, but at about 4.30pm the tailbacks had clearned and just one lane was closed on the exit slip road.

A police spokesman said there had not been any serious injuries reported.
