More than 400 people crammed into St John's Church in Meopham this week over plans to build homes in the countryside.

They were told there was less than a month left for anyone who wants to influence the number of new houses to be built in and around the borough over the next few years.
It has to guillotine debate if it is to get approval for its plans - and protect the countryside from uncontrolled development in the Green Belt.
Meopham Parish Council's meeting was the fourth and attracted 450 residents.
They were told to get their views to the parish council this week so that it could formulate a detailed case for protecting Meopham from unwanted speculators.
Wendy Lane, head of Gravesham's planning policy, told the meeting the council was cutting 4,000 homes from previous government figures.
They would now probably settle for 5,200 new properties to be built by 2031.
Many will be for the elderly where an additional 10,000 pensioners would live in Gravesham by 2031.
Cllr Mike Snelling, former Gravesham council leader, told the meeting there was no evidence supporting notices circulating in the village that the land would be for social housing.
