Officers investigating a reported burglary in Gravesend have released a computer-generated image of a man

Police have released this image in the hope of catching a suspected burglar caught red-handed in a living room before fleeing through a window.

The incident allegedly took place at a flat in Windmill Street, Gravesend, on Saturday, July 9.

It was reported that at 2pm the victim returned home and found a man standing in his living room.

A computer-generated image of a man police want to speak to regarding a burglary.

He escaped through the window and was chased up the road, but turned right into Sheppey Place and was able to get away.

The victim then returned to his home and discovered that a jewellery box containing a number of items had gone missing.

The suspect is described as being white, aged in his mid-20s, about 5ft 5in and slim.

He was unshaven and was wearing a white baseball cap, white shorts, black trainers and a red coat with a hood.
