A school is continuing its success and remains Outstanding, according to government inspectors.

Milestone Academy in Ash Road, New Ash Green, which is part of the Leigh Academies Trust, has 279 pupils from the ages of two to 19 and looks after pupils with profound, severe and complex needs.

Milestone Academy special school pupils celebrated their Outstanding Ofsted with a fun day.

The report by Ofsted inspector Matthew Barnes highlights that all staff “deliver a first-class level of provision for the pupils and their families” and that “every moment is skilfully utilised to maximise learning”.

Principal Nigel Jones said: “I am proud to lead and serve our academy and I am delighted the hard work and dedication of every member of staff has again been recognised by Ofsted.

Youngsters tuck in for a well deserved treat.

"Our core moral purpose continues to drive our ethos and culture and we remain committed to ensuring the very best personal and academic outcomes for all of our inspirational pupils.”

Staff and pupils celebrated their success, with a fun day including fancy dress, a disco, circus skills and face painting.
