Police recover discarded knife from shop in New Road, Gravesend

Police were seen recovering a “large zombie blade” in a town centre at the weekend.

Officers were called at around 1.15pm on Saturday (November 30) after a discarded knife was found by staff at a shop in New Road, Gravesend.

One witness claimed he saw them putting the “18-inch long zombie blade” into an unmarked car.

He told KentOnline: “It made me feel cold when I saw it because of the damage it could do.

“It was one of those long blades with a curve at the end.”

Officers took the blade to the police station.

No arrests have been made in connection with the recovery of the knife.
