Police called to Oak Road in Gravesend after fight leads to man being arrested on suspicion of assault

A man is being questioned by police after a street brawl last night.

Police were called to the Kings Farm area of Gravesend shortly after 10pm following reports about a dozen people were fighting.

No injuries were reported during the disturbance in Oak Road.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and being drunk and disorderly.

Police say an assault is reported to have been committed against a man who was pushed from a bicycle.

The suspect is in custody while inquiries continue.

Officers from the Kent Police Gravesham team said a man had threatened to "knock us out, break our jaws, bite our noses off and spit blood at us".

In a tweet, the team later said it was "a very small insight into some of the things we deal with on a daily basis".
