Police investigate assault at Bluewater Shopping Centre in Greenhithe

Police are hunting a group of teenagers who hurled abuse at a man at Bluewater before assaulting him.

The victim, aged in his 20s, was walking through Lower Winter Garden food court at the shopping centre when the gang started insulting him.

The abuse continued as the man made his way to the Winter Garden car park, where members of the group then assaulted him.

He needed to be taken to hospital to be treated for cuts to his face.

One of the group is described as male, white, 16 to 17 years old and with short brown hair.

The attack happened at around 9.30pm on Thursday.
