Police issue electronic image of man after attempted distraction burglary in Leander Drive, Gravesend

Police have issued an electronic image of a man they'd like to speak to in connection with an attempted distraction burglary.

At around midday on Monday March 6, a man knocked on the door of a house in Leander Drive, Gravesend, and claimed that the neighbouring property had a leak in its roof.

He said he needed to enter the house to fix the leak and put his foot in the door to prevent it being closed, but the homeowner knew the claim was false and refused him entry.

The man is described as white and clean shaven, aged between 20 and 29, with short hair, and was wearing a blue jacket and trousers at the time.

He did not enter the house and no items were stolen.
