Man dies after falling from Thamesgate multi-storey car park near Gravesend Railway Station

A man has died after falling from a shopping centre's multi-storey car park.

The tragedy happened in Gravesend yesterday evening, with police attending around 7.20pm.

Officers were called to the Clive Road area of the town, near the railway station, alongside paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The force confirmed today a man in his 60's, from Gravesend, was declared dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.

The five-level car park is attached to the Thamesgate Shopping Centre.
