A man was found dead after police were called after concerns for his welfare.

Officers found the man, who is in 50s, near Lower Higham Road, Gravesend, at around 11am on Sunday.

Kent Police was called to the scene following concerns for a person's welfare.

Paramedics from the ambulance service joined them and a man was pronounced dead upon arrival.

A police spokesman said: "The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner."

The deceased’s next of kin have been informed.
