A MAN has appeared in court accused of raping a teenage girl.

Salim Yousif, 28, of Valley Drive, Gravesend, appeared at Dartford Magistrates Court last Friday charged with rape and kidnap.

The alleged attack is said to have happened in Gravesend on Friday, May 23.

Bail was refused. Yousif, who did not enter a plea, is due to appear again at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday, June 9.
