Man taken to Medway Maritime Hospital after suffering cardiac arrest in Woodlands Park, Gravesend

A man is fighting for his life after suffering a cardiac arrest in Woodlands Park, Gravesend.

It is believed the man, said to be in his 50s, was walking around the park in Wrotham Road when he collapsed at around 7.15 this morning.

A member of the public called for emergency services and three ambulances and a car arrived at the scene. Paramedics resuscitated the man before taking him to Medway Maritime Hospital.

It is not known if the man is local but it is believed he regularly uses the park.

Paramedics were at Woodlands for two hours before leaving and police also attended.
